A light in A World filled with "Lights"

 Growing up I read, listened  and watched many fairy tales and Disney movies. These stories revolve around fantasy and filled my mind with hope. It formed my mind to look and think about "True" love  in a certain way. As I got older and experienced relationships for myself I realized that my view on love was in correct and expectations were to high. This was caused mostly because my idea of love was a picture painted from the videos and stories I had seen when I was young. The way we think of God and how He acts toward us is no different than the way I view true love.  Our minds can put God into a box. Inside the box, we control what God can and can not do. Because we are stuck on the Idea of God and not the true essence of God. The idea of God is subjective and opinionated. You can ask twenty people what there idea of God is and you will get twenty different answers. But since truth is king, there is only one true chemistry of God and we must do two things about it...

Sometimes we deny our true identity and let our sins define who we are. When I say true identity I mean the identity of being a child of God. Having God's life (grace) within us. And when I say we let our sins define us I mean we let our human nature define who we are. Human nature outside of God's grace and guidance is broken, and often times a deliberate or subconscious attack on God. We become addicts to doing things that are not good for us. It can be as small as a constant liar to as horrifying as a serial rapist. And than bang, there we are defined by the sins we commit.   You may not be a liar or a rapist? But what are you? What am I? If neither of us are a true child of God what identity did we replace it with? Our culture wants us to no longer hide our sins. But rather embrace them. It says follow your urges! Cave into your desires. It is okay to be glutton. It is okay to be a fornicator! Be what you feel. If you feel like a man than your a man. You feel like a woman...
