Greeting

Dear Reader/viewer or whatever you may call yourself,
  Today marks a new journey for me as a writer. This is a step I have been pondering for many years. A step in which I tell you (the whole cyber space) how I feel and the intimate concerns I have with this beloved universe of ours. You may not care for what I have to say, so do you... I guess... other people might have interest. But know this Reader/viewer or whatever you may call yourself, I as a writer/ blogger am putting myself out a limb for you. I am not writing these posts for your entertainment but for your own good.

  You may ask yourself what does he mean by his title "A Light in a World Filled With "Lights"?  Well please let me take this time to explain this to you. Our world today is a place where everybody knows everything. We have information literally on our fingertips. All we need to have is a desire to know and the information is given to us. We are by far the most intellectual human beings who have ever existed. However human beings have three components. That of course is our Will, our Intellect, and our emotions. So while our intellect is at an all-time high our will is at an all-time low. Through my articulous writing I am trying to be a light, and influence you to a better life. Nonetheless there are a lot of other lights who prowl around the world seeking to influence you also. Those "Lights" may strengthen your intellect but weaken or do nothing for your will. I on the other hand want to strengthen your will.

  During the early Christian persecution in the Roman Empire, many Christians standing on death row were asked to merely burn a pinch of incense in front of the Emperor's statue. God vs The Idea of God

 Growing up I read, listened  and watched many fairy tales and Disney movies. These stories revolve around fantasy and filled my mind with hope. It formed my mind to look and think about "True" love  in a certain way. As I got older and experienced relationships for myself I realized that my view on love was in correct and expectations were to high. This was caused mostly because my idea of love was a picture painted from the videos and stories I had seen when I was young. The way we think of God and how He acts toward us is no different than the way I view true love.  Our minds can put God into a box. Inside the box, we control what God can and can not do. Because we are stuck on the Idea of God and not the true essence of God. The idea of God is subjective and opinionated. You can ask twenty people what there idea of God is and you will get twenty different answers. But since truth is king, there is only one true chemistry of God and we must do two things about it...

God Helps Those Who Help Themselves

    One sunny morning, a few years back in my general contracting days, I hopped into my rusty pickup truck and turned the key in the ignition. "Bang" The passenger door closed with a thud. A wide smile from my cousin/helper, Pete, greeted my tired face. I put the gear stick in drive and sped off. On the road I made a sloppy sign of the cross and whispered a five second prayer.     "I am glad you are making an effort to pray, but do you know what you really are?" Pete asked with a grin on his face.     "What am I?" I replied with a smug smile.     "You are Lukewarm. You believe in God, but you don't live your life as if it matters.
