The State of Our Minds

 

  Our World is ruthless. Make no mistake it has always been ruthless.  Fairness and equality has never existed except in the fantasies of our mind. Look around you and tell me what you see! The people in your daily walk of life whether it be your neighbor, roommate, coworker, or own relative are trapped in their own movie. The world revolves around them. Their desires, their needs dictate what they do and what they do not do. They do not care about you unless you benefit them. The words that come to mind is selfishness and pride.

 Looking into the mirror I see the same person that I see around me. I see a person who puts himself in front of other people. Unlike other people I might not stomp over others or annihilate them to get what I want but I definitely only look out for myself. I only care for those who are convenient to care for such as my family or people begging on the street. The common man or women I am too blind to see.

 What is the problem with me? What is the problem with all of us? To simply put it we all have depraved minds.  Our minds lack God which creates a void so big that we lack the regard of human dignity and makes us indifferent to human life.(Letric Law Library) Examples are a man watches so much pornography that He sees a women as an object. He does not consciously know this. Over time this subconsciously develops until this man is known as a jerk in his relationships with women because he only uses them for his pleasure or to use their company for his loneliness.   A woman like wise can get so caught up with her own body, with her own choices that she has no regard for her human offspring that she terminates its life. This is all created from a depraved mind.

 Let all of us step back today. Turn off our cameras of  our own selfish movie. Let us seek to fix our minds and hearts and turn them to the Lord. We can not do it by ourselves. The world has said we can do it by our own merits but that is because it is depraved. With God all things are possible.
