The Call To Love

 What is one thing you can not imagine living without? Many things come to my mind but the thing that stands out the most to me is a four letter word. That four letter word is love! Imagine your life if you never were affected by love. Without love there would be no hope in life. And I will even go as far and say there would be no point to live.
 We were made to be loved and to love. Humanity has a hard time fulfilling its call to love. Human nature wants to love only what loves them back. That is like when a celebrity say's "I love my fans.'' Well what about the rest of  us Taylor Swift?
  Obviously I am joking a tad bit, the term love can be used loosely in our English language. The love I write about to you today is the love that comes from God. First John 3:11 says " For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another."
 If everyone loved the way they should; the world would be a perfect place. Without God's grace in our life it is so hard to love.  

 How individuals love separates the saints from the sinners. Because loving must become a conviction. It will only become easier to love if we become convicted by it. When we surrender completely to do God's will by loving Him and one another we become free of the world's bondage. Love can and will conquer all hatred and human divides. So today dear reader try to learn how to love and don't just be a student of God but be also a disciple of His.

God vs The Idea of God

 Growing up I read, listened  and watched many fairy tales and Disney movies. These stories revolve around fantasy and filled my mind with hope. It formed my mind to look and think about "True" love  in a certain way. As I got older and experienced relationships for myself I realized that my view on love was in correct and expectations were to high. This was caused mostly because my idea of love was a picture painted from the videos and stories I had seen when I was young. The way we think of God and how He acts toward us is no different than the way I view true love.  Our minds can put God into a box. Inside the box, we control what God can and can not do. Because we are stuck on the Idea of God and not the true essence of God. The idea of God is subjective and opinionated. You can ask twenty people what there idea of God is and you will get twenty different answers. But since truth is king, there is only one true chemistry of God and we must do two things about it...

God Helps Those Who Help Themselves

    One sunny morning, a few years back in my general contracting days, I hopped into my rusty pickup truck and turned the key in the ignition. "Bang" The passenger door closed with a thud. A wide smile from my cousin/helper, Pete, greeted my tired face. I put the gear stick in drive and sped off.
