"Looking At Your Life Through Heaven's Eyes"
I recently re watched one of my
favorite childhood movies “The Prince Of Egypt.” For you readers unfamiliar
with the movie Its based of the story of Moses and how he delivered the people
out of slavery in Egypt. Its an animated movie produced by Dream works and it
was very well done. I was watching the movie out of nostalgia but one of the
songs in the movie hit me real deep.
The song is called “Through Heavens
Eyes” and it raises the very important questions that are “So how you can see
what your life is worth, or where your value lies?” The song answers the
question with this answer “You can never see through the eyes of man you must
look at your life through Heaven’s eyes.” That verse hit me right at my core.
It made me reflect on my life and earthly success. I thought about how I get
caught up on how I view my earthly success as if it’s the only thing that matters.
The world preaches success to us as
soon as we are born into this planet. We are taught to not settle to just
sweeping the floors but to work ourselves up to CEO. At times we even look down
on those who don’t have the same mindset. We question where is the drive? But
our ambition and hard work is worth nothing if we look at our life through our
own eyes. We must strive to see our life the way God sees it. Sometimes God
helps us build it all up just to burn it all down, so we can see our true worth
is not in possessions, money, or fame but in our love for God and other souls.
Our love should not be affected by how much money or success we have. Our love
defines us, and a homeless man and a CEO can love the same amount.
Well what can I offer someone? I don’t
have money to share? Or I do have finances to bless others with but I don’ t
know anyone that is in need that way. Well reader one of the best things we can
offer someone else is our personality. Your warm smile, your kind words, your
humor, or even your comforting hand. Offer your genuine self, its worth more
than a million dollars or a PHD. Well that is what Jesus Christ offered. But
hey He even offered a place in Heaven with Him!
