God Deserves and Needs our 110% Effort

-

      God deserves and needs each one of us to give Him our 110% effort to live, and promote the Christian lifestyle. At first thought, or even at our very first try at giving God 110% effort we might find it impossible to give out that much effort. But as the Christian works his or her way into fuller communion with God, they find themselves able through God's grace to obtain maximum effort.
    In giving God 110% effort an individual will lose persons, places, and things that the individual found importance in, or even as so much loved. But nothing can outweigh the love, joy, and peace the Lord grants us when we become a vessel of  His Divine Life.

God vs The Idea of God

 Growing up I read, listened  and watched many fairy tales and Disney movies. These stories revolve around fantasy and filled my mind with hope. It formed my mind to look and think about "True" love  in a certain way. As I got older and experienced relationships for myself I realized that my view on love was in correct and expectations were to high. This was caused mostly because my idea of love was a picture painted from the videos and stories I had seen when I was young. The way we think of God and how He acts toward us is no different than the way I view true love.  Our minds can put God into a box. Inside the box, we control what God can and can not do. Because we are stuck on the Idea of God and not the true essence of God. The idea of God is subjective and opinionated. You can ask twenty people what there idea of God is and you will get twenty different answers. But since truth is king, there is only one true chemistry of God and we must do two things about it...

God Helps Those Who Help Themselves

    One sunny morning, a few years back in my general contracting days, I hopped into my rusty pickup truck and turned the key in the ignition. "Bang" The passenger door closed with a thud. A wide smile from my cousin/helper, Pete, greeted my tired face. I put the gear stick in drive and sped off. On the road I made a sloppy sign of the cross and whispered a five second prayer.     "I am glad you are making an effort to pray, but do you know what you really are?"
