Free-Falling Off of The Mountain Freedom
Well Folks were there! We have reached a point as a collective nation where we are free-falling off of the Mountain of Freedom. For so long our fore-fathers and their descendants have been trudging up this great rocky, and dangerous mountain. Progress was made as climbers used the trees and deep rooted brush to latch their ropes to, to pull themselves upward. These solid trees and deep rooted brush were planted by God Himself. In other words we call these things: unity, love of neighbor, solidarity, trust, wisdom, peace, justice, and etc. Through God's grace our nation at times were able to make huge progress as we tried to scale the mountain.
But then came a time when we as a nation forgot that these trees and brushes came from God. We began to try to create our own trees and brushes to latch our ropes to. We created: segregation, exploitation of labor, greed, immodesty, infidelity, and many other sickle things. We tumbled backwards as our ropes ripped out these terrible supports. Great leaders and reformers such as, (Martin Luther King, Billy Graham, Fulton J. Sheen, and Ronald Reagan, etc) refocused our gazes on true freedom, and we all stood up and climbed forward,
However evil predators got ahead of us on the path and chopped, hacked, and utterly destroyed the the bushes and trees that God placed on the path. They planted thistle bushes to replace the magnificent trees. The thistle bushes can be identified as vanity, murder of the most vulnerable, agnostic and atheistic beliefs, hatred of God and His creatures, love of war and death. Reliance of one self ,and dependence on temporarily satisfying stuff for happiness.
This ultimately created anarchy, and we all began free-falling off of the mountain. What should we do? We need to call upon God and repent wholeheartedly. We need to align our will with His will, and then turn to our neighbor (bother, son, mother, father, daughter), who's limbs are flailing around in the open air and tell them to call upon God and realign their heart with His. It maybe hard for them since in our day and age many find it hard to just know what gender they are, but God's grace and love can pierce even the tiniest targets.
Imagine our whole nation calling upon God! It would be so powerful, and maybe, just maybe His Son Jesus Christ would send a life line from on top of the mountain that would get us back on course so that we as a nation can be the Beacon to the world that were supposed to be. God's mercy is endless, and He loves to pardon. We just need to be willing to repent; and love Him and our neighbors.
If we as a nation do fall off of the Mountain of Freedom we will lose the ability to publicly promote the Christian lifestyle. If that becomes the case it will be so much harder for people to come to know the Truth and have it transform their lives. For the true reason Christian Freedom exists is so that an individual can serve their neighbor. Galatians 5:13 sums Freedom up the best, it states as follows:"You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love."
